Correct the Court

People For the American Way wants you to sign a petition calling on congressional leaders to support legislation to correct Ledbetter v. Goodyear. A tortured interpretation of a technical loophole in anti-discrimination law allowed the Bush appointed Roberts Alito Supreme court to deny decades of discrimination because the suit was not brought in 180 days of the first discriminatory paycheck. Congress can correct that statute and overturn the effect of this anti-woman, anti-minority, anti-worker decision.

Earlier this week a popular right-wing host on Denver's KOA radio, "Gunny" Bob Newman, stated on-air that "every Muslim immigrant to America who holds a green card, a visa, or who is a naturalized citizen [should] be required by law to wear a GPS tracking bracelet at all times," and that the government should "bug their places of work and their residences" and monitor "[a]ll mosques and community centers."

Tell Governor Ritter to Prohibit Workplace Descrimination

Progress Now, wants you to tell Governor Ritter to sign SB25 to prohibit workplace discrimination based on sexual orientation and religion. State law already prohibits bias against employees because of disability, race, creed, color, sex, age or national origin.
